Green Seasons Professional Lawn Service follows a 5 application fertilizer and weed control program. Treatments are scheduled on intervals 6-8 weeks apart throughout the growing season to consistently feed the lawn and ensure its health while applying treatments to eliminate weeds. An annual guaranteed grub control application is available with all annual plans.

Five Granular Fertilizer Applications
Our annual program includes five applications of granular fertilizer. Throughout the growing season your lawn needs a consistent supply of nutrients to remain green and healthy. Green Seasons selects fertilizers with the proper blend of slow and fast release nutrients for each application during the season.
Using this approach, we are able to provide quick green up as well as residual feeding with each application.
By using fertilizers with a combination of slow and fast release technology, we ensure the lawn retains a consistent appearance without bursts of quick growth after each application.
At Green Seasons we believe that five well timed applications provides an ample nutrient source to maintain a beautiful, thick, and green lawn. Of course, each customer’s lawn is unique, and if an additional application is needed to provide optimal results, this will be recommended on a per customer basis.
Broadleaf Weed Control
Broadleaf weeds such as dandelions and clover detract from the appearance of a beautiful lawn. Broadleaf weeds are invasive to lawns across the Miami Valley, but can be controlled by creating a healthy and thick lawn that outcompetes invasive weeds by preventing their germination.
Green Seasons combines this preventive approach with timely herbicide use to ensure a lawn free of weeds for all of our customers. Spot weed treatment of weeds is included during each service visit and each annual service customer receives unlimited service calls to handle any weeds that develop between service intervals.
Crabgrass Prevention and Control
Crabgrass is an unsightly and highly invasive annual grassy weed that plagues many lawns in the Miami Valley every summer. The best way to control crabgrass is through prevention. Crabgrass control is most effective by combining good cultural practices and a pre-emergence herbicide application to create a thick lawn that prevents seed germination.
Green Seasons’ program includes spring applications of crabgrass pre-emergence herbicides to stop crabgrass before it even germinates. We apply double-rate applications of crabgrass of pre-emergent in tough to control areas like the curbside strip and along driveways. If any crabgrass does germinate, it will be eliminated using post-emergence herbicides throughout the growing season.
Disease Evaluation and Management
The best defense against disease in your lawn is to maintain a healthy lawn by combining sound cultural practices and the correct fertility. While disease is generally not a overwhelming concern on home lawns, occasionally environmental situations make lawns susceptible to disease.
With each service, the lawn is evaluated for disease and any concerns will be brought to the attention of the homeowner and addressed as necessary. Sometimes disease control is as simple as changing the mowing height or watering practices used on the lawn. If treatment is necessary, it will be discussed on a per customer basis.
Grub Control
Season-long grub control is an optional service we offer along with our recommended five application fertilizer and weed control program. Every summer grubs damage many lawns in the Greater Miami Valley region. Our grub control service is guaranteed, meaning if you purchase this application we will guarantee your lawn against any damage this season; if damage does occur it will be repaired at no charge to you.
If you choose not to purchase the grub control application, or chose to apply your own, there will be a charge to repair any grub related damage if necessary. In order to apply this product at the correct time, some customers may receive this application at the same time as the summer fertilizer application.
Unlimited Customer Service
If you have any concerns about your lawn at any time, we promise to meet with you promptly to get them addressed. We strive to carefully monitor your lawn throughout the growing season, but we can’t be there every day. If you notice an issue, bringing it to our attention early will help alleviate larger problems down the road. Working together, you’ll notice a significant improvement in the appearance and health of your lawn.
All full time clients receive free service calls, we are happy to service your lawn until you are completely satisfied!
Green Seasons will gladly visit your home in between treatments for the spot treatment of weeds at no charge or to address other lawn concerns. We make every effort to monitor your lawn between visits, but we can’t be there every day, so if a concern arises, please simply give us a call! We will be out promptly to make it right!
